Forever21 and their Christian Ideology
Recently I came across this post on the internet.
Apparently in the USA, fashion chain Forever21 prints “John 3:16″ in tiny prints at the bottom of their plastic bags. Is that a violation against freedom of religion? For me, looking at the USA as a whole, I think that’s how the way they work. Majority wins; the greatest maxim of democracy. I watched this programme “30 Days – an Aethist in a Christian household” on Youtube, and they mentioned about how the Christian symbol cannot be ignored in their everyday life. The easiest example is how “In God We Trust” is printed on their dollar bills. Isn’t this a sign of a majority Christian Congress trying to pervade people’s lives with Christian symbols? That’s not even giving non-Christians a choice; either they accept it or they jolly well leave the USA. That’s the message I see being put across.
Anyway, can someone check the Singapore Forever21 plastic bag? Is similarly religious message being surreptitiously spread through some tiny imprints? (I haven’t bought a single piece of clothes from there to have their plastic bag. Maybe I should go get myself a pretty frock from there just for the sake of having a plastic bag
)
