I think what’s at the side of a person’s bed tells a lot about that person. Say, a workaholic probably has her blackberry and documents, a chronic drinker probably has bottles of liquor and piles of puke…
So, let’s share. Here’s mine:
1. A useless latern-ish thing my Sis gave me that runs on tealight (of which I have a bag of 100s, but never got around to lighting any)
2. A photo of me as a child (typical naricsstic of me. Oooh, don’t you love that frame? White with gold patterns and stuff. Got it for SGD$2 from Daiso :P)
3. Books. My bedtime reads. Currently The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood, With Love & Irony by Lin Yutang and Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov.
4, 5, 6… Alarm clock, air-conditioner remote (white long thing), a ballerina figerine I got as a present eons ago (even though I don’t dance at all), a Jack O’Latern stress ball I got free when I went to donate blood last year around Halloween, my standing fan remote control (grayish thing), a rabbit soft-toy I got free at a supermarket-ish place ‘cos I spent a certain amount of money. And my handphone (pink sock thingy below the rabbit).
Well, what my bedside items tell about me is probably that I am a cheapo, I love freebies, and … I love pink. -shrugs-
And that it seems as though I’m such a girly girl with a ballerina figurine and rabbit SOFT TOY… I needed that Jack O’Lantern to show that sense of evilness in me. It’s pretty cute, really. Actually evidence of my evil self lies on my bed - all my S&M equipment and vials of chicken blood that I keep.
Yeah right.
Well I do have a KILLER whale sleeping with me, and three more at the trunk at the foot of my bed…
And suddenly I don’t know why I’m writing all this crap. It just seems so… inconsequential.

my room’s blue, currently very dusty and full of hair. i don’t have air-con, so it’s quite stuffy in it. my storybooks are quite disorganised. my wardrobe is mostly filled with black articles of clothing and underwear.
Black clothes are good. But not in this blasted weather. Alamak, talking about bedside you talk about your wardrobe and underwear. Unless wardrobe next to bed but still not the topic of discussion (I have my study desk next to my bed so textbooks and notes and random stationery next to bed too, but they don’t constitute bedside because… I SAID SO. :P). Heh.
